Kat Wright at Pop’s Farm – Fri., Sep. 28th

20 Sep

Join us on Pop’s Farm for the last show of the summer as we kick off the Rives’ fall season!

Rooster Walk 10 alumn, Kat Wright, will be returning to Pop’s Farm for a party in the Pines. If you missed her at Rooster Walk or simply just can’t get enough of her sultry sound, be sure to mark your calendars and get your tickets. Camping is available the night of the show for just $10 a car or $25 for an RV

Kat Wright, whose voice is both sultry and dynamic, delicate yet powerful; gritty but highly emotive and nuanced, has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse”. Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting. There’s soul flowing in and out of her rock ‘n’ roll with a serpentine seduction. Some of soul music’s sweet, grand dames belt, shout, seethe, and succumb, while Wright sings gently like a heartache’s apology. It’s funky in spots and beautiful all over. And it hurts a little … like it should.

Sponsored by Sovah Health and Deschutes Brewery. 2018 ART Season Passes accepted! Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome. No outside alcohol. We’ll have a food truck on-site, plus beer, wine and water for sale. Gates open to RVs at 1 pm. Gates open to Tent Campers at 4 pm.
